Prospective Undergraduate Students
Individual visits to the college and department for high school juniors and seniors can be scheduled by completing the web form found at the bottom of the College of EMS "Visit Us" page. The College of EMS will coordinate your visit with us so that it includes one-on-one time with Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science faculty and usually at least one student, as well as a tour of the department. Department tours are given Monday through Friday (sorry no weekends) and we would appreciate at least one week's notice prior to your visit date so we can best prepare for your tour. You may also like to schedule a University Park information session and tour using the link found below under "University Park Information Sessions and Tours".
Visit during a planned event:
- EMEX (The College of Earth and Mineral Science's Open House) usually held in mid to late March, or
- Penn State's "Spend A Summer Day" program in July and August.
Prospective Graduate Students
Please email (grad-admissions@meteo.psu.edu) or phone us (814-863-9500) to set up a visit schedule. If you have a specific area of research interest, please let us know what it is, as this will help in planning your visit schedule. Sorry, but visits are not scheduled on Saturday or Sunday, and we would appreciate at least one week notice prior to your visit date so we can prepare and make your visit as rewarding as possible.
