Weather or Not is a fun and educational weather television show created and produced by students in the Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science at Penn State. The show reviews the latest in weather-related news, provides the weekend forecast, answers common meteorological questions, and explores how weather ties into everyday life. A new fifteen-minute show airs on Centre County's C-Net, Channel 7, each week.
Since its inception in 1957, the hallmark of the weather presentation from Penn State has been a respect for the viewers' desire and ability to understand the world around them. The daily cooperation between the largest atmospheric science department in the world and one of the finest university PBS stations in the country has helped fulfill the mission of this land grant institution -- to serve the citizens of the Commonwealth through the benefits of its research.
Weather World airs on the Pennsylvania Cable Network weekdays 5:45 p.m. Central Pennsylvania residences can also watch the show on WPSU, a public broadcasting channel, weekdays at 5:30 and 5:45 p.m.
